Joylin Nadia Kurniawan

My full name is Joylin Nadia Kurniawan, I was born on January 23, 2010.

Ever since I was 6 I loved to dance, dance allows me to express myself through movement. The adrenaline rushing through my veins, the sense of accomplishment that comes after I perform, those are only some of the reasons why. I usually dance with hiphop songs, sometimes afrobeats or kpop, I feel that music takes a big part in my life. The different emotions I feel from sad or happy songs are endless, music can understand the frustration or feeling that you have at the moment.

The Pandemic greatly affected me and I'm pretty sure it affected many of you too, my personality and tastes changed I'm grateful to have experienced learning online on zoom, but if you ask me, I greatly prefer offline school over online school, though the pandemic made me change dance schools and made me found my second home, STRDC Dance studio. Usually I go there 3 or 4 times in a week, I consider dance as my break from school and stress, it has some consequences too though, like counterpain being your best friend, but it still doesn't stop me from dancing.

I love other things too like journaling and playing the drum. Currently, I am in 8th grade and I go to Bina Tunas Bangsa School, I try my best in everything I do! Can't wait to see what the future will hold for me.
